About SEPCO

Sukkur Electric Power Company (SEPCO) is an approved power supply and distribution company in Sukkur. It has all the legal rights for power distribution and is registered by the government of Pakistan to divide the electricity-related tasks. It was merged with HESCO, but the officials separated it in 2010 to divide the power-related tasks due to the increased number of consumers. Officially, it has three distribution regions: Sukkur, Dadu, and Ladkana. So, if you live in these regions (including the subregions), you will receive your electricity bill from SEPCO. For more, it covers over 10 districts in the Sindh Province. They are working to improve the system by serving more than 6 million people. SEPCO has 665190 domestic consumers, 126980 commercial, 13550 industrial, 9382 agriculture, and 1067 others. Precisely, it has 641366 running consumers, 174812 disconnected, and 816178 in total. The above starts depict their working, handling, and overall work for power distribution and supply to all the districts.

Cost of Electricity:

It’s the actual amount of electricity you have consumed. You can check the GOP tariff below the “SEPCO charges” section. For example, if you have consumed 50 units and the tariff is 7.74, the cost of electricity will be 387.

Fuel Price Adjustment:

When the price of fuel fluctuates, the consumer has to pay the fuel adjustment tax for the unit consumed in the previous month.

F.C Surcharge:

A fixed amount of tax is known as a Financing cost surcharge. Its value is 0.43 rupee per unit and applies to all domestic, commercial, or industrial connections.

QTR Tariff Adjustment:

A quarter tariff adjustment tax is a fixed amount of tax the consumer has to pay after every three months.

Electricity Duty (ED):

It’s 1.5% of your total bill to give you all these services, including meter reading, the printing of the bill, etc.

TV Fee:

It’s the Pakistan Television fee, and every consumer has to pay Rs. 35 as a fixed amount.

GST:

It’s the general sales tax and it’s 17% currently.
